Personalities

Personalities tune broad interaction style and behavior preferences in OpenVibely. They are different from agents: personalities shape tone and defaults, while agents define durable execution policy, tools, permissions, skills, and routing behavior.

When To Use Personalities

Use personalities when users want the app or assistant behavior to feel different across broad interaction modes, such as more concise responses, more careful explanations, or a preferred collaboration style.

Use agents when the behavior is tied to a repeatable job, repository convention, tool set, permission scope, or task execution strategy.

How They Fit The UI

The Personality screen lets users select, save, create, update, and delete custom personality settings. The selected personality should be treated as an app-level preference, not as a substitute for explicit task prompts or agent configuration.

PageWhy It Matters
AgentsAgents are the correct place for execution rules and tool policy.
ChatPersonality can affect how conversations feel.
TasksTask prompts and agents remain the primary control for execution behavior.
